Questions about the URL Encoder / Decoder

URL encoding, also called percent encoding, replaces characters that are not safe in a web address, such as spaces and symbols, with a percent sign and two digits, so a space becomes %20.

This tool encodes a URL component, such as a query value or a path segment. That is the part you put inside a link, not the whole link, so characters like slashes and question marks are encoded too.

Choose Decode, paste the encoded text, and choose Decode component. Percent codes turn back into normal characters.
