Questions about the CSV and JSON Converter

Paste the CSV into the CSV box, or type it, and the JSON appears as you type. With First row is the header on, each row becomes an object keyed by the column names. Turn it off to get a list of lists.

Yes. It follows the standard CSV rules: a field in double quotes can hold separators and line breaks, and two quotes in a row stand for one quote.

With Convert types on, numbers, true, false, and null become JSON values. Values with leading zeros, such as the ZIP code 02134, and numbers with more than 15 digits stay as text, so nothing is changed by accident.

Yes. Choose Tab, Semicolon, or Pipe as the separator, or leave it on Detect it and the tool works it out from your data.

Leave Flatten nested objects on. An object inside an object becomes a column named with dots, such as address.city. Lists are written into the cell as JSON text.
