Paste the YAML into the YAML box and the JSON appears as you type. Choose the indentation you want, and copy or download the result.

The tool says what is wrong and the line and column where it was found. It also rejects a key that appears twice in the same map, instead of quietly keeping one.

It follows YAML 1.2. That means words such as yes, no, on, and off stay text, instead of turning into true and false as they do in older YAML 1.1 readers.

A YAML file can hold several documents separated by three dashes. They become a JSON list, with one item for each document.
